Jumping whale in the sea stops our mind.
A shooting star in the sky makes
our jaw drop
Ungraspable rainbows enchant anyone
who sees them.
How can we resist the fragrance of flowers?
The snow mountain sits majestic
like a queen of nature.
The ever unruly forests
bring everything to life.
The rivers flow like nectar from above.Such wonder is found in the ordinary,
Socks, chairs, tables, napkins, pillows, forks,
Even in nail clippers, tweezers and scissors.
Steal from your lover’s golden chest,
That book by an ecstatic Latin dude
called Pablo Neruda.
Read some.
Then,
You might end up writing endless odes
to everything that exists.
All these wonders are the expression
of the ineffable.
The ineffable is hard to understand,
The skeptics beg for proof,
The agnostics are too chicken to surrender,
The religious ones only make love with
dead concepts.
Let your life lure you into the magical
Canyon De Chelly of North America,
Watch the full moon’s rays touch
the ancient rock walls,
You’ll see what the ineffable is.
Seventeen years ago,
At the foot of Spider Rock,
A Navajo lady taught me
A sacred saying.
“Walking in beauty”. It was just words then.
Today,
My whole being is feeling it.
The universe,
A beautiful creation.
Buddhists say there is no creator.
Most probably, they’re right.
I say we are created by the universe,
So we can offer admiration to her,
And sing hymns to her beauty.
